Type nvidia.com/robots.txt into your browser. This public text file lives at the root of NVIDIA’s website. Before its crawling rules, you’ll find a welcome, 18 lines of ASCII forming the NVIDIA eye, and this invitation:
# “We dig it when people read our code! Check out the jobs while you're here.”
The next line links to NVIDIA’s careers page; a YouTube invitation follows. A robots.txt file tells crawlers where they may go. Lines beginning with # are comments that crawlers ignore. That’s the easter egg: a message for curious humans inside a file meant for bots.
